Spokane Transit Board of Directors
The Board of Directors provides the policy and legislative direction for Spokane Transit and its administrators and approves its actions, budgets and long-term plans. It also has the authority to levy taxes as authorized by state law (with voter approval).
By state law, the Board is composed of up to nine elected officials chosen from the jurisdictions served by the Public Transportation Benefit Area, which includes the cities of Airway Heights, Cheney, Medical Lake, Millwood, Liberty Lake, Spokane, Spokane Valley and some unincorporated portions of the county surrounding those municipalities.
