Senior Information Security Administrator

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Senior Information Security Administrator to lead our cybersecurity efforts and protect the organization’s critical information assets. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and enforcing security policies, conducting risk assessments, leading incident response, and driving security awareness across the organization. Examples of Duties

Network Security: Understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention
systems (IPS), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
• Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows, exposure to Linux, and Unix systems, including hardening
and securing these environments.
• Security Frameworks and Standards: Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, and the
ability to implement them.
• Risk Assessment and Management: Skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks and
vulnerabilities.
• Incident Response: Experience with incident detection, response planning, and recovery processes,
including forensic analysis.
• Cryptography: Understanding encryption algorithms, public key infrastructure (PKI), and secure
communication protocols.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM): Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and accounting
(AAA) protocols, including LDAP and SSO.
• Malware Analysis: Skills in detecting and analyzing malware and understanding threat intelligence.

Education and Experience

Five years of direct experience performing information security administration and will have successfully
completed a bachelor’s degree in information systems/computer science or completed equivalent course work
(such as IT security related certifications). Possession of formal security certification(s) such as CISSP, CISM, or
similar is highly desirable.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Five or more years experience in information or cyber security
  • Holds a degree from an accredited university in cyber security or related field
  • CISSP or similar certification
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Passionate about transit a plus
