Beginning Monday, June 13th, the City of Spokane will begin construction on Riverside. The project is expected to last approximately six months and will resurface the roadway on Riverside between Division and Wall, create new bicycle lanes, reduce traffic lanes from four to three to accommodate the new bicycle lanes, replacement of the main waterline, and installation of ADA ramps as needed. Work on this project will also include facilities at the newly built City Line Stations on Riverside. All routes that use Riverside will be impacted at some point throughout this project.
The first phase of the project will begin Monday, June 13th and close Riverside between Division and Bernard. This phase will last approximately six weeks and will cause detours on Routes 6, 25, 26, 28, 29, 74, 90, 172, 173, and 190. Customers may catch Routes 25, 26, 28, and 29 on Main at Bernard, Main at Division, or the regular stop on Washington at Main. Customers may catch Routes 74, 172, 173, and 190 on Main at Bernard or the regular stop on Washington at Main. Customers may catch Route 90 at the Plaza or Sprague and Browne.
