Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday Service

STA has implemented a special holiday schedule adjustment to make service more convenient for commuters working on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Customers with questions or who need assistance planning their Martin Luther King Jr. Day commute are encouraged to call STA Customer Service at 509-328-RIDE (7433).

Find Your Route’s Start Time

Identify when your route begins or whether your route will have service on that day.

The following routes will follow their posted Sunday/Holiday schedule:

The following routes start two hours earlier than their posted Sunday/Holiday schedule (exceptional routes are listed in the next section below):

The following routes are not serviced that day because they do not have normal Sunday/Holiday service:

  • Route 11
  • Route 74
  • Express Routes: 124 – 771
  • School Routes: 66 – 67, 661 – 664

Please see below for an explanation of the routes with unique starting times.

Locate the earliest Sunday/Holiday departure time listed in your route’s schedule.

Unless your route is one of the exceptions noted, subtract two hours from that time to determine your departure time.

Routes with early service will maintain the same frequency as the posted schedule intervals.

Examples:

The left column below shows Route 34, which is posted to start at 7:50 am and run every hour. So for MLK Jr. Day, service will instead begin at 5:50 am with the next departure at 6:50 am.

The column on the right shows Route 21, where service is posted to begin at 6:15 am and run every 30 minutes. For this route, service will begin only one hour earlier, so service begins at 5:15 am with the next departure 30 minutes later at 5:45 am.
