Field Instructor – Fixed Route

Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the training department in training new coach operators in the field. Incumbent will instruct new drivers in CDL certification, coach familiarization, fundamentals of coach operation, closed course driver training, simulated route driving on public roads, and actual route driving using training paddles. This position is an as needed position and requires the ability to change schedules on short notice. Nights and weekends will be required on occasion.

Education and Experience

Must be a current full-time coach operator that has been with STA for at least 2 years and have a minimum of 2 years with a Class B P1 license.

 

The qualified candidate must have a good attendance record and a good driving record. A history of good employee relations and customer service is a must. A high level of patience and the ability to be encouraging and supportive are required to be successful in this position.
