No-Cost Transportation for SFCC Shelter Residents
Now in effect through Sunday, September 3, evacuees residing in the SFCC emergency shelter will have access to no-cost transportation service through STA within the Paratransit service boundary (which encompasses the Public Transportation Benefit Area) and extends within ¾ of a mile of a fixed route served by buses.
The no-cost service will be door-to-door, similar to a shared-ride Paratransit trip, with evacuees traveling alongside others in a Paratransit van. To utilize the service, the trip origin or destination must be Spokane Falls Community College.
Evacuees seeking transportation assistance can call the Paratransit reservation line at (509) 328-1552, from 8 am – 5 pm, seven days a week, to reserve a ride for the following day.
When making a reservation, callers should identify themselves as SFCC shelter residents to determine if their trip location qualifies within the service boundary.
STA is responding to the critical need for support and remains committed to assisting the Medical Lake community during this emergency. The agency is dedicated to ensuring that evacuees have access to safe and reliable transportation services as they navigate this crisis.
